A record was playing. Swanee by Al Jolson. It was old and you could hear thick static.

I've been away from you along time
I never thought I'd miss 'ya so
Somehow I feel, your love is real
Near you I wanna be.

The blonde woman giggled as she leaned in to kiss the red headed young man, he smiled and kissed back. There was a strong scent of sake in the air. Soon the woman was on top, removing her clothes.

The Birds are singing it is songtime
The banjos strumming soft and low
I know that you yearn for me too swanee you're calling me

Tattoos shown on his bare chest, which Emily licked seductively. Renji’s hair fell loose as he moaned, leaning his head back. She pulled down his pants.

Swanee - how I love ya, how I love ya
My dear old swanee.
I'd give the world to be among the folks in D-I-X-I-E-ven though my mammy's waiting for me,
praying for me down by the swanne.
The folks up north will see me no more when I get to that swanee shore

Renji flipped her over and kissed her passionately on the lips. She wrapped her legs around his taunt waist. He thrusted deep inside of her and Emily gasped out in pleasure.

I love the old folks at home
Swanee - how I love ya, how I love ya
My dear old swanee. I'd give the world to be among the
folks in D-I-X-I-E-ven though my mammy's waiting for
me, praying for me down by the swanee.
The folks up north will see me no more when I get to that swanee shore.

The door creaked open and there was a gasp. Emily smiled and looked, “Jūshirō!” her smiled disappeared. Before she could say anymore he had ran.

Swanee - how I love ya, how I love ya

She stumbled as she quickly got dressed and chased after her husband. By the time she caught up with Jūshirō, he had locked himself in their bedroom. “Shirō!!!” Emily pounded on the door, “Please let me explain,” her words slurred. Suddenly she stopped. But then there was a rapping at the balcony window, which was also locked, “Shirō please let me in!” The drunken wife hit the door as hard as she could but it wouldn’t break. Emily had sealed it with tons of protective spells; it was almost impenetrable. “Please, Shirō!” She cried. But there was no response. “Oh, fuck,” She sighed and slid down the glass, it and the floor was the only thing holding her up. What the Hell had she done?

Jūshirō lied in their bed, curled up in a ball of tears. He couldn’t believe his beloved who do such a thing to him. He wondered if it was his fault, if he hadn’t tried enough to spend more time with her, if he failed her as a husband. He cried.

The Commander-General entered her empty bedroom, wanting to get to sleep early, or at least try, when she noticed something was wrong. Sama’el switched on the lights and there was someone in the window. A blonde woman sat on the window shill smoking a long thin cigarette. “What is it?” Sama’el sighed annoyingly, tired of her bothering her and her husband. “I fucked up again.” Emily said simply.

“What?” Sama’el asked again, closing the door behind her and moving closer to her friend. “Jūshirō walked in on me and Renji.” Sama’el went silent. Emily turned around to look at her when the other woman belted her on her head. She screamed, “Qu’est-ce que l’enfer?!” “You, dumbass,” Sama’el growled, “Why the hell would you do that-and to your own husband?” Emily looked away, “I don’t know,” She sighed angrily, “I got drunk.” The black haired woman scoffed, “That’s a first.” The blonde hissed, “Ferme la,” the blonde hissed.

“Please, in English.” Sama’el demanded. Emily got up and walked over to her friend, “What the Hell am I supposed to do?” She spoke not with anger or sorrow but determination to keep her marriage. “Apologize,” She said simply. “Oh-and what-he’ll just forgive me like that?-‘Oh I fucked a kid and you caught me, sorry!’” Sama’el glared at her, “No,” “Then what?” Emily snapped. She paused, thinking about it, then answered, “Tell him you are sorry and promise never to do it again.” Her friend gave her a look like she was talking nonsense. “Or you could add some crap to it-I don’t fucking know!” Sama’el added.

Jūshirō hadn’t left the room since the incident. Everyone came and tried to talk to him, except for Emily. She still wasn’t sure how to apologize and thought maybe he needed more time. But it was her he really wanted to see. There was a knock at the door. Jūshirō didn’t answer. Then another knock, “Ukitake, open it up, its me.” Suddenly the door unlocked and open; it was Shunsui Kyōraku.

Shunsui glanced around him, “Yikes, what happened here?” The room was a mess. There were papers and books and clothes lying around. There was strange old food and a couple of corpses of who-knows-what-kind as well. There were counters and shelves filled with beakers of chemicals and such all around, which obviously belonged to Emily. A giant pale serpent slithered across Shunsui’s feet; he shivered in disgust, and stepped away from it.

He looked at his friend who looked like a wreck. Jūshirō was still curled up in a ball, looking pale as ever. There was a record player on the ground. If you listened closely you could hear, 'I love you and you alone were meant for me. Please give your loving heart to me and say we'll never part,' “It’s our song…” Jūshirō whispered. Shunsui walked over to him, “Come on, you gotta’ get up. You can’t let that two-timer get you down, there’s plenty of fish in the sea.” He had a very Emily-like attitude. Jūshirō whined, “I only want her, Shunsui, you don’t understand,” he almost broke out in tears, “I love her…”

Shunsui sat down on the bed, “But does she love you back?” His friend didn’t answer; instead he dug his face into his pillow. “Ukitake… Jūshirō…you don’t understand. Emily doesn’t care about anyone but herself; even when we had a thing going on, she up and left me for that kid-Shūhei Hisagi. The fact is she isn’t right for relationships. All she’s ever going to do is hurt you. Do you really want to be with someone like that?” Jūshirō didn’t answer.

“How ‘bout, we got out, and try to forget all this happened, what’ya say?” Shunsui patted his heart broken friend’s back. Jūshirō looked up, “You think that would,” he sniffled, “help?” The brown haired man smiled, “Yeah, come on, let’s hit the town!” After cleaning up and some pep-talk, Jūshirō and Shunsui went out to a local club.

Popular music was playing loudly, Jūshirō wasn’t used to it. He usually listened to what Emily listened too. It made him sad. A drink was shoved into his hand, “Drink up, you need it!” Shunsui yelled over the music.
an idea i got when i saw some preview for that movie, Forgetting Sarah Marshell, or whatever the fuck its called.

it has nothing to do with the movie :XD:, my story Life in the Seireitei [recent posts], or the picture of Jūshirō or Shunsui above the story.

LOL

just thought i'd make that clear.

there's mild sex and swearing. French swearing also!

i didn't have time to re-read it for gramatical errors, so help me out, comment if you see something wrong or if you don't understand something.

or just comment to tell me how much you like it :D

will update with completed verison, will be a very short story, with more OCs ;P
